Actors, singers, models, DJs -- 2011 saw a barrage of international celebrities like Tom Cruise, Lady Gaga, Shakira and Paris Hilton making inroads into India, reaffirming the blurring lines between the Hollywood and Bollywood worlds.
Shutterbugs kept clicking throughout the year, as celebrities kept trickling in one after the other, either for business or mere leisure.
The actors footfall started with "X-Men" star Hugh Jackman's visit in March 2011, and Tom Cruise rounded up the year with his "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol" co-star Paula Patton in tow, here. Jackman attended the FICCI-FRAMES 2011 and Cruise became one of the first international A-listers to attend his movie premiere in the country.
Among other actors, names like Judi Dench, Rowan Atkinson, Kiefer Sutherland, Liev Schreiber, Naomi Watts, Josh Hartnett, Elizabeth Hurley, Heather Graham and Michelle Yeoh, and Patton came cruising down to India for work commitments.
In March, Hartnett came down on a 30-day schedule for "Singularity", which happens to be Indian actress Bipasha Basu's debut Hollywood project. They shot around Bhopal.
" Inception" director Nolan was here in May to shoot at Jodhpur's Mehrangarh Fort for his movie "The Dark Knight Rises".

Kareena Kapoor off to London to spend quality time with beau

It has been a hectic year for Kareena Kapoor as she got two of her movies released this year i.e. Bodyguard and Ra.One and the great news is both were blockbusters as they crossed 100 crore mark at the box-office.

Apart from releases and promotions of these flicks, she has also been busy with her other movies, one with her beau Saif Ali Khan titled Agent Vinod and Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu starring Imran Khan. Even in the coming years she is sure to remain busy as many of her movies are in queue and the top one includes Madhur Bhandarkar’s Heroine.

So, one can guess that the lady badly needs a sigh of relief before starting up with another hectic schedule in 2012. To enjoy their piece of space Saifeena left for their favourite holiday spot - Gstaad - in the Swiss Alps in Switzerland on Sunday night for two weeks.

A source tells us that the couple wanted to spend some quiet time together after a hectic year. They will be in London and then head to Switzerland, where they will spend a few days at the Gstaad Palace hotel, followed by a few days at a private chalet. The pair plans to ski a lot as Saif loves the sport.

Mallika Sherawat burns the cover of world's first 3D magazine WMB

Mallika Sherawat is one such actress in Bollywood who is always the first one for everything, be it in the B-town or even the Hollywood. The actress who came from a small village of Haryana is the sensual siren who will be the first one ever to be seen on a 3D magazine.

Yes, you got it right, this is the first 3D magazine, WMB (World's Most Beautiful) ever and Mallika is the first lady to be seen on the cover page of it.

Mallika will be seen wearing Flanels and Denim shorts. She poses as a siren whose car has broken down in the middle of a desert and she holds a placard "Hollywood or Bust" to get a hitchhike. Wow! It’s surely a glamorous way to carry on her way.

She is indeed very lucky to have been photographed by the celebrity lens-man Nick Saglimbeni, her make-up was done by Gaby Ramos, hairstyling by Gio Campora, and styling by Sarah Ellis.

The shoot was done in the middle of a scorching desert where Mallika was not even allowed to drink water so that her stomach doesn't bulge out.

Shahrukh Khan reveals that Farhan was not keen to make Don3

Soon after the shooting of Don 2 was over, everyone started guessing whether Farhan Akhtar is in mood to continue the trend by coming up with the third sequel of Don. However, there has been no confirmation from Farhan about the idea but he has not disagreed either.

Though there were rumours that Farhan has given a thumb down to the sequel but recently the latter cleared that some people misguided his words and he is all open about the idea. Now his close aid and the Don himself, has come up talking about Don 3.

Don 2 has been getting great audience reviews and Farhan Akhtar too has spoken on how he may make a Don 3 but Shahrukh Khan revealed the filmmaker was not keen on making a sequel to Don 2. "We were not sure. Farhan was like how many Dons will I continue making! But we were not keen on making Don 2 too! It happened as we loved Don.

Likewise, Don 3 may happen you never know. We have kept a scene in Don 2 where there's a slight hint that is given about the sequel. Everyone seems to like the action in Don 2, so does Farhan" said Shah Rukh Khan.

Hrithik Roshan says his character in Agneepath is weaker than Sanjay Dutt

Hrithik Roshan is often considered as someone who prefers to be intense but recently he showed his all together different side. He was at his comic best at an event and left the entire crowd present there in splits.

It was during the official press conference of his upcoming movie Agneepath where a lady asked him about the kissing scene in the film and Hrithik promptly offered to demonstrate how to kiss.

As per sources, Hrithik asked that female, “Ma'am there was no kiss in the scene but if you still insist, it means you don't know how to kiss! Aap aise kiss karte ho? Why don't you come here and I will demonstrate to you what an actual kiss is!"

That wasn't all. The talented actor didn’t stop there as when another reporter asked him why only Sanjay Dutt was seen leering at Katrina Kaif in the Chikni Chameli song, Duggu retorted, "If you had seen the song more closely you would have seen me leching too!"

Further talking about his role Hrithik says that in the movie Sanjay Dutt's character Kancha Cheena is more powerful than his character. Hrithik is playing underdog in movie and at the start he is weak but at the end of course, he beats Sanjay.

Akshaye Khanna wants Anna to see his 'Gali Gali Mein Chor Hai'

Akshaye Khanna, who is going to make his presence on screen once again after a long time, has something different in store for the movie. He will be seen in Gali Gali Mein Chor Hai as a common man who fights against the system of the country and corruption.

This reason being, Akshaye wants Anna Hazare to watch the movie first. He says, "We are planning to show the film to him. Whether it will happen or not depends on how much time and inclination he has to watch it." The film is about a person who is not very smart and gets trapped in the system. The movie is depicted in a humorous way. The songs sung by Kailash Kher will also be played in one of Anna's rally.

Following Anna's movement like several other stars the actor says, "It really impresses me when someone who feels strongly about something decides to put everything else in their life on a back burner and focuses on it. It is frightfully difficult to take on the government and the system single-handedly. To do it in a dignified manner and inspire lakhs of people around the country is commendable. That said I also respect the democracy of India and our Constitution, which allows this kind of freedom and encourages it”.

So was it Anna Hazare who influenced him to take up this role in the film? The actor says, "No. The film is much more than that. It’s a take on the system and our apathy towards it”.

Ranbir Kapoor to replace Shahid Kapoor in Chitthiyan

Vidhu Vinod Chopra has been facing a tough time in deciding the lead actor for his upcoming movie Chitthiyan. Well, this time it is the other way round as the actors have been refusing to work in the film.

As reported, initially Chopra had reached Shahid Kapoor for the role eight months back but he refused to work in the film. Later Ranbir Kapoor was being considered for the role and was approached but he too gave a red signal due to his busy schedule. Grapevines have also been saying that there is a clash between both the Kapoors for the role. Whereas a close friend of Shahid is quoted saying that he had refused to work in the movie eight months back.

Further the source added that the said film is a love story and Shahid having been done Mausam few months back wants to work in some action movie now.

It has been learnt that Vidhu is still keen to rope in Ranbir and after the actor’s successful run with Rockstar, the former doesn’t want to let go of him. But Ranbir is said to be quite busy with his upcoming ventures. Chitthiyan is a two hero film and Sharman Joshi has been roped in for the second lead.

Priyanka Chopra did not find a mention in Shahrukh Khan's Christmas party guest list

It is not new in Bollywood that the best of friends turn foes or vice versa!  And recently this seemed true in the case of Don lead stars Shahrukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra.

Leaving one to wonder if all is really well between PC and her Don 2 co-star and best friend Shah Rukh Khan! We have seen both of them cajoling with each other at recent past and everyone could swear by their friendship. Even their proximity made headlines to an extent that Shah Rukh’s marital life ran into troubled waters.

But if the latest buzz is to be believed, then there is tension between them. PC did not find a mention in SRK’s Christmas party guest list. Buzz says that it was not a slip-up. She was deliberately left out. Gauri Khan called everyone from the Don 2 unit but not her. This is the first time PC has been kept away from a party at the Khan home.

However, a friend of PC denied the news and said, “Her parents were going out of town. So she decided to spend time with them after her shooting”.
